Getting the most out membership means being involved. Attending regular monthly gathering, making friends with others in the group, sharing your story, looking to help connect others in the group through referral whenever you can and being authentic, Do these things and you’ll not only find being in the community is fun and very rewarding you’ll find yourself uplifting, impacting and empowering other women at the same time.
Running an effective & beneficial network & community takes time, energy and resources. Any community is only as good as the work, effort and resources devoted it. Membership fees & sponsors help support the manpower and capital necessary to operate a strong, active network, produce regular events & activities, create educational & inspirational content, build a member discount network, market and grow the network to support all members and create new tools and resources for the community.
When you sign-up as a member you’ll create a member profile. This member profile is used in our member directory for other members to learn a little more about you and understand how they might be able to support you. You can view and edit your profile at any time by logging into your account from the login link you can find in the website header menu or on the Members page.
When you sign-up as a GPW member your membership is for the period you signed up for (6 months or 1 yr.). Your membership will auto renewal via auto credit card billing on the expiration date of your membership. If you wish to cancel auto renewal and let your membership expire you can always login to your account and turn off auto renewal. You must do this prior to your membership expiration date.
Yes, in fact we encourage it! There are two reasons it’s great to always invite others, 1) Having guest at our meetings allow all of us to meet new people and discover new connections and possibilities and 2) As our network and community grows so does our voice and potential in the community to facilitate action and foster change. Guests can come once to Monthly Women’s Only meetups (then must become members) but can buy tickets anf attend annual events as a non member.
Yes GPW partners with several non-profits that supports women’s empowerment globally, and causes that we feel passionate about. Those non-profits will soon be added to our site where members will also be able to make donations if they wish to support global support if women’s empowerment.
Yes, we have a program to support the development of new groups in new cities. It simply requires motivated administrators who see the benefit and potential. If you’d like to start a group in your city contact us.
When you become a member you have access to a digital membership card you can drop into your iphone or Android digital wallet. You can access this membership card by logging into your membership account. The membership card can be used for discounts at all our member businesses (see or member business directory) and to get into all GPW events free of charge. We’re also always looking to grow free or discounted access to 3rd party events for our members. (edited)
