About

My journey as woman began as an Afghan refugee. As a child I was exposed to many harsh challenges that so many women, in various parts of the world, still face today . Later in life I would relocate to the US and then Europe where I’d discover new opportunities and freedoms, yet still encounter challenges and hurdles unique to women. Working to help empower, support, encourage and uplift all women, locally and Internationally, and to help them find equality and unlock their full potential has always been at the center of my heart.

Our mission is to create supportive, empowering communities to help empower and uplift all women locally and abroad. To help create a world where everyone is treated with respect, kindness and love, regardless of gender, race or religion.

Through local network & community chapters, content and programs we work to make women smile, feel valued, find joy in life and achieve their potential.

Rashida Azizi, Founder & CEO

Rashida Azizi, an Afghan refugee, mother, cancer survivor, former Mrs. Elegance of Europe, Mrs. Hessen (Germany) and Miss Germany runner-up, is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and social change. With a background in community development and a fervent belief in the power of collective action, Rashida has dedicated her life to championing the rights and opportunities of women around the world. Her vision for a more equitable society drives her work, inspiring others to join in the fight for gender equality. Through her leadership, Global Powerful Women has become a beacon of hope, empowering women to realize their full potential and creating a brighter, more inclusive future for generations to come.

Jenn Miller

Jennifer has been a business leader in the promotional products industry for over 20 years. Over the course of her career, with a specialization in product sourcing, she’s had the opportunity to oversee operations on both the supplier and distribution sides of the business. She became the sole owner of Panoptic Promo in 2015, and in her spare time, Jenn loves to host and entertain, travel, and just chill out with the pups. Maria Valetta

Maria Valetta is an internationally recognized wine expert, Certified Sommelier (CMS), WSET Wine & Spirits Diploma Graduate, and Certified Sake Adviser, known for her dynamic social media presence. She co-founded the CorkRules Podcast, a platform that empowers wine lovers to order with confidence and serves as Chairwoman and Director of Wine Sponsorships for the Las Vegas Food & Wine Festival, enhancing wine offerings through immersive experiences. Recently featured on the cover of Vegas2LA Magazine as a top woman in wine to watch, Maria continues to make a lasting impact in the industry. With nearly 40,000 Instagram followers (@mariathewineblonde), Maria shares her passion for wineries, culinary travel, and wine education. As a longtime TV host of The Chef’s Kitchen, she has showcased exceptional wines, restaurants, and chefs nationwide. In 2024, she joined the board of Global Powerful Women, applying her entrepreneurial expertise to elevate and celebrate the achievements of Las Vegas businesswomen.
